I just won $100 last night when i bought 5 tickets of 2 bux each of Monopoly and the code was HUN on 1 ticket and FTY on another for $40.. not fifty as most ppl here claim. Actually I won twice the same amount and they both said “FTY” for $40 each!!! Anyways, gotta keep playing but please play responsibly too. Thank you!

The codes help out just in case you miss reading the numbers. Especially with the $20 scratch-offs. I almost threw away a couple of tickets cause I miss the reading the numbers. But I recognized the codes and looked again and realized I won. WOW, I guess anything over $500 is random. Only won $200 once, so maybe I’ll get lucky one day and take that trip to the Lottery Office.

what does FEY mean on my ticket
ive hit 250 on a flamingo bingo 2 times the code is thf/fth/fht. but anything over 500 is like a losing code such as cvw/ftw/cvf/new.those may actually be big winners so dont just scratch the letters and throw away cause u may have just threw away 600+ dollars

@jenn i have never seen a TTT and i work as a cashier cashing lottery tickets i would say just try to cash it in if its a winner it will tell you even if its above 600 dollars

Hey steve yea we would bring the tickets in if we felt comfortable doing that however like someone said the clerks are at times shady well one time I brought a ticket in I knew it was 50 and she told me no I said give me the ticket went to a store where I know the owner and bang 50 in my pocket!!!

Over Five Hundred…can look like losing codes. Like FEY THY etc…so its best if u have a doubt to have them scan it…just in case. Im quite the scratch off enthusiast to say the least and ive made friends with the local convenient store workers and they do help with knowledge. If u can befriend one that you frequent (if u r like me) I would do so. It helps a lot!!! Especially with figuring out your odds by asking if when and how many of what tickets and how much the win was recently…hope that helps someone!

What codes have been on confirmed winning tickets above $500? I’m curious if the codes like NVW (which I think stands for never win) have been on tickets that won a big prize, or if the codes on large amounts are totally random and not used on non-winning cards.

FTY is $50. I won $40 last week & the code was FRY.
FEY & CVW just a few of the codes that are on losing tickets, OR like the person above mentioned, anything over $500. But it should be noted that if you get cvw, kvw, fhr, tev, fey & others, DOES NOT mean you win over $500, they are simply randomly generated on high winning tickets, and losers…MAJORITY BEING LOSERS. So don’t assume you win big just because you have those codes, most likely its a dud, But always check thoroughly, good luck!
Validation codes in FLORIDA over $500 is the same validation code that is used for losing tickets.some losing codes and winners over $500 are tve,vcw,ftw.I know I won $1000 4 times and $2000 once.

I got code HRF on a $1000 BIG MONEY CROSSWORD. HRF is one of the losing codes that I have seen on so many losing tickets. Apparently, it is also the $1000 code.
Won $1000 on a $2 and the code was cvy so codes on anything over $500 do not matter, make sure you double check your tickets and don’t rely on the letters!
I scratched a black cherry doubler last night with no codes fo be found.. anyone else ran into this problem? Or know something i dont about a ticket with no codes?
The new tickets that are out do NOT have the letters so how can we tell now if they are winners besides double checking and taking them to a store?
Well I know in california they stopped printing those three letters on scratch off tickets a while ago. So i think soon they will discontinue It here also.
I was wondering the same thing Jammie! I just read a story saying that they are phasing out the 3 letter codes

They phased out the codes and put a winning sound on the store scanner so when a ticket is scanned and is a winner it will make a sound. I guess a lot of retailers were running scams saying larger winners with the codes were losers when in fact the were winners. Now there is a sound if you win.
The florida lottery has stopped printing alpha codes on scratch tickets… Only the old ones prior to july 2015 still have them, however as they discontinued so will the alpha codes and all future scratch off’s will have no code! Code days are over but the fun of scratching continues.. I want to make a suggestion to this blog there should be a way for players to send pictures if their winning tickets and share the passion of winning on scratch off’s on pictures and that will be awsome and at the same time we share winning experiences with pictures..
